How do you find the best business mobile tariff?

All of the networks offer business tariffs but these will vary between provider making direct comparison difficult. Then you have a bewildering choice of handsets, some of which will provide extra features to help your staff work better, others will prove unreliable, difficult to use, or will not have the functionality you need.

The best mobile deal for your business will give you the optimum handsets for your requirements now and in the immediate future, allied to a tariff that accurately reflects your current usage and is flexible to cope with future changes in your business.

Without expert guidance, finding the right balance and getting the best deal direct from a network can prove difficult, not to mention time consuming.

Saving you time and money

This is where we come in. By using us you benefit from our expert knowledge of tariff analysis built up over many years. In addition we are aware of all of the latest SmartPhone and tablet technology that is available now or shortly to be released, allowing us to pinpoint the best options depending upon how your business will use them.

All of this expertise will not cost your business a penny. Our service is free of charge and, should you be happy with our proposal and decide to sign, our costs are met by network commission. This doesn't mean that our tariffs are any higher than going direct - we can almost guarantee getting you a better deal overall.

Once you have signed you benefit from our excellent customer service. You don't have to call the networks regarding any problems or issues and be kept waiting on hold, one call to us and it will be sorted out for you.

How it works

If you already have a business mobile contract we can analyse your usage by looking at your bills. This analysis looks at call destination and duration, plus text and data usage, in order to get a complete picture. We then marry this to the best available business mobile tariff, subject to network preference and signal strength in your area.

Where multiple networks are available we can provide a comparison between the tariffs so that you can make an informed decision.

Top 10 business mobiles 2012

Wednesday, February 01, 2012

Every month we compile a list of the Top 10 business mobile handsets based on our monthly dispatch figures across our business. We now have the first figures for 2012 and the list is below:

  1. Apple iPhone 4s
  2. Nokia C1-01
  3. BlackBerry 9300 Curve
  4. BlackBerry 8520 Curve
  5. BlackBerry 9780 Bold
  6. BlackBerry 9860 Bold
  7. Samsung Galaxy Ace
  8. Nokia C2-01
  9. Samsung B2100
  10. Nokia 2323

Only 4 manufacturers make the list but these are very much the "big four" when it comes to business mobiles.

BlackBerry have rebounded from a poor December 2011 with four entries at 3 - 6. A mixture of Curve's and Bold's which offer something for every budget. BlackBerry have a loyal following with many businesses, particularly where email is the most important function of the mobile.

But they are unable to challenge the runaway winner, the iPhone 4s. With more people using iPhone's in their daily life outside of work it's only natural that they would feel more comfortable with them at work too.

Nokia and Samsung pad out the list. Nokia with their affordable talk and text handsets, whilst Samsung bring us a tough phone (the B2100) and a budget SmartPhone (the Galaxy Ace).

Getting the best deal

The list changes considerably from month to month - in January only five of December's Top 10 made it back on the list with 5 new entries - but whatever phone you require for your business mobile contract we can help you at Best Business Mobile Deals.

As independent dealers we offer a full range of mobile phones and can mix and match them according to your requirements. They can usually be supplied free of charge as part of your contract.

From a single handset to several hundred we provide a comparison service to businesses large and small. We can show you tariffs from all of the major networks so that you know you are getting the best deal.

Business benefits of SmartPhones

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

SmartPhones are becoming ubiquitous with regular consumers. As more individuals recognise their usefulness and switch to SmartPhones, it is inevitable that businesses too will follow suit.

In fact businesses have been first adopters of SmartPhone technology with their extensive use of BlackBerry handsets, but SmartPhones have moved on since then driven by Apple and the incredibly successful iPhone series.

For some businesses, where durability is more important than connectivity, there are other phones which might suit their requirements (although there are also rugged SmartPhones on the market now). But for the majority of business mobile users the smarter the better.

Some SmartPhone benefits for your business...

Power in your pocket - you have the computing power of a basic laptop in a device small enough to be carried anywhere. With wireless and 3G technology you can work from your phone as if you were in the office (almost).

Keep yourself organised - the average SmartPhone comes with a personal organiser, electronic diary, contact lists, and automatic reminders to name but a few of the functions which will organise your daily workload. They can be synced to your office so you never miss any important reminders.

Always online - unlike a laptop your phone is always on and, with push email, it is receiving data instantly. It enables you to be continuously accessible and productive.

Find your way around - most SmartPhones have GPS and a map function which can be used to plan routes and find your way on foot. There are also numerous apps which can be used to turn your phone into a satnav in your vehicle.

Access your company data - securely connect with your company information to access details of prospects and important documents. You can also access general information online, for instance to answer customer questions.

The power of applications - SmartPhones real differential is their use of applications. All of the operating systems have some sort of store where you can buy general business apps or ones that are specific for your business sector and usage. Larger companies can even develop their own.

SmartPhones on a business mobile contract

At Best Business Mobile Deals we are not restricted in the handsets we sell and can provide a full range of SmartPhones on a range of business tariffs. Which one will suit your business best will depend upon how you are going to use it - contact us for advice.

You can mix and match different SmartPhone models or have a combination of smart and feature phones. The choice is yours.

We will match your usage to the best available tariff across the major networks and provide you with new phones according to your requirements.

Small business mobile phones

Thursday, January 12, 2012

Every business is different and small businesses may have different needs for their mobile phones to larger ones. There are also mobile tariffs and products that are aimed squarely at small businesses, designed especially with them in mind.

Whilst some mobile dealers and websites are not interested in small business users, going after the larger deals and corporate mobile sector, at Best Business Mobile Deals we are always looking to provide small business mobile phone deals that offer great value and make the best use of new technology.

SmartPhones are the ideal tool for small business users. They enable you to carry your whole office in your hand and give you the power to run your business when on the move. They don't have to be expensive either.

Even on a basic £25 business tariff there are a range of SmartPhones available free of charge. All of them will give you excellent connectivity and business functions - which you choose will largely depend on your personal preference for manufacturer/style of handset.

For larger users or those needing several phones there is a choice of tariffs which we can guide you through. We offer tariffs from all of the major networks (Vodafone, Orange and O2) as well as additional products such as One Net Express which is an ideal flexible working solution giving you a landline number ringing on your mobile.

Existing small business users

If you already have a business mobile contract all you need to do is supply us with a copy of your existing bill to enable us to analyze your current usage. From this we can work out the best tariff for you which provides you with all of the minutes/texts/data you need without incurring extra charges for exceeding your package, or wasting allowances with a package that exceeds your needs.

Once we have the right tariff we can advise what are the best phones for your needs based on what you need them to do. We can supply a mixture of handsets for different employees if required.

New small businesses

If you are setting up a new business we can provide you with mobiles as a standalone package or a full telecoms solution out of the box including your landlines (or a mobile landline), broadband and mobile broadband.

There are many benefits to having a single supplier for all of your telecoms including cost savings, ease of administration and problem resolution.

In a nutshell, if you are looking for a small business mobile phone solution, or a complete telecoms package, consider Best Business Mobile Deals as your first point of contact.

Top 10 business mobile phones

Thursday, October 06, 2011

We have compiled our Top 10 business mobile phone list using September's despatch figures. Full details below.

The first big shock is a surprise number 1 - the Samsung E1080i. This is a very basic talk and text handset, it's main selling point being its price! However for businesses that don't want their employees having fancy phones but prefer a durable and reliable phone instead it's a good choice and keeps costs down.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, at number 2 in the list, is the Apple iPhone 4. This remains an incredibly popular SmartPhone however it is due to be replaced by the iPhone 4S during October and we anticipate a lot of demand for the new iPhone 4S model now it's finally been launched.

Nokia's 6303i continues its run in the Top 10 list having occupied a place every month this year. This is the 6th month that it has appeared in the top 3, remaining a popular phone for its durability and ease of use.

At number 4 is the first BlackBerry mobile handset, the 9300 curve. A relatively inexpensive handset it is a 3G model as opposed to the BlackBerry 8520 curve (in at number 7) which is only 2G. The more expensive and feature-packed BlackBerry 9780 Bold comes in at number 9.

Positions 5, 6 and 8 are occupied by three Nokia phones - the C1-01, the 2700 and the C2-01. Sensible choices for the average business user looking to keep costs down.

Finally the list is rounded off by the HTC Pro 7. HTC handsets have become increasingly popular this year, having been featured in the top 10 list for each of the last 6 months. The Pro 7 runs the Windows Phone 7 operating system which is sometimes requested for specific business applications.

How much can I save on my business mobiles?

Monday, September 26, 2011

Many businesses are paying far too much for their mobile phones. There are too main reasons why, both of which involve being on the wrong tariff but in different ways:

1. Over generous tariff allowances

This is when a business is paying for too many minutes, texts or data to be included in their monthly package. For instance, if you have a 2,000 minute tariff but are only using 500 minutes you could drop down several tariffs and save a considerable amount each and every month.

Most networks will not allow dropping down several levels during the course of your contract, but they will perhaps allow a single drop. We can advise on the best course of action and also whether it is cost effective to buy out your current business mobile contract.

2. Not enough allowances within your tariff

The opposite of 1., and usually a lot more costly, not having enough allowances in your tariff leaves you paying "out-of-bundle" charges for a large proportion of your usage. Also included within this is failing to add bundles, or adding the incorrect bundles, for usage such as roaming data or anything that is not normally included within a standard business mobile tariff.

Networks are usually happy to increase tariffs during the course of your contract so increasing your allowances is usually straightforward. However, if your usage varies greatly from month to month the correct tariff might not be easy to determine.

It may be most cost effective to choose a tariff that covers the majority of your usage in an average month and pay out-of-bundle for extra usage, or it might work out cheaper to take a tariff that covers the usage in your highest months - we can advise you the best balanced solution which will save you money.

So how much could you save?

It varies between users and the only way to give you an accurate figure is to see your current bills, analyse your usage and recommend more appropriate tariffs. This is a free of charge service we offer to businesses of all sizes and types throughout the UK.

However, as an example, we have listed a real-life example below showing several thousand pounds worth of savings:

Company with 21 mobile phone handsets and 17 mobile data devices (for mobile broadband). Paying a total of £1,336 per month under their existing contract. We analyzed their current usage and, taking everything into account, our quotation amounted to £768 per month. A saving of £568 per month, a total annual saving of £6,816.

Extend this over the course of a standard 24 month business mobile contract and the savings are more than £13,000. For large businesses and corporate mobile phone users savings can be even larger.

Even for small and medium sized businesses savings can be considerable. Contact us for more information.

Which mobile is best for your business?

Thursday, September 15, 2011

Every month we compile a Top 10 business mobile phone list. Whilst there are always some new entries the basic core of the list remains fairly steady. With the popularity of SmartPhones many would think that the whole list would be made up of them, however this is not the case.

There are still many businesses who do not need the extra features SmartPhones afford and are happy with standard talk and text mobiles. This keeps their bills down and keeps their employees focused on their jobs and not accessing Facebook or Twitter when they should be working!

The best mobile for your business is the one that provides the features you need without any extras. The most feature packed phones cost more money - this is money your business could have in cashback or kit allowance if you choose lower spec handsets. Why pay for features you don't need?

Giving your staff the right mobile phones for the task they need to achieve will empower them and make them more productive. Before deciding upon handsets make a list of essential features that you must have in order to function and ensure the phone you pick has them all and does them all well.

For instance, if you need a good camera on your phone do some research about which phone offers the best camera experience. Just looking at the megapixels available and picking the highest does not necessarily equate to getting the best camera. The standard of optics, zoom, flash - these all need to be included in the equation.

Mobile phone help and advice

Because we deal with mobile phones every day we know which ones are most suitable for your business. We get feedback from our clients and also take in many handsets for repair. We know which phones are reliable and which ones are liable to break pretty quickly.

There is nothing to gain from supplying you with cheap handsets that will prove unsatisfactory for the job you need to do. You let us know your business needs and we will pinpoint a range of handsets that will do the job from which you can choose.

As well as finding the best business mobile handset for you we will also find the best tariff, saving you money month after month. Let us provide you with a free, no obligation quotation to show you just how much you could save.

Corporate and large business mobiles

Tuesday, September 06, 2011

Whilst we have business tariffs that can be utilised by a single user, these are not always competitive when compared with consumer deals available from the wider market, particularly for "light" users.

It is only when a business has a few mobile handsets (5+) that business tariffs come into their own and we can add real value, and this increases with the number of phones. For large businesses and corporate mobile users with 10 handsets or more there is a real opportunity to reduce costs and improve communications simultaneously.

With a shared business tariff there is a lead handset which pays the majority of the line rental for the tariff. After this any additional handsets are sharers which can utilise the pool of minutes already purchased. Each sharer is added at a reduced rate meaning that the more handsets you have the better the savings can be for you.

The right tools to do the job

As well as looking at reducing costs we look at ways in which the latest mobile technology can help improve the way you work, particularly for your mobile workforce. Giving your staff the right tools to do their job will significantly improve their productivity.

A range of devices can be supplied, including a mix of different handsets according to the jobs people do as well as tablets, netbooks, laptops and dongles as needs require. These will usually be supplied free of charge where the tariff allows, although there are scenarios where you are better off paying a contribution towards your hardware in return for a lower tariff that properly reflects your usage.

Additional users/handsets can be added at any time and changes to your tariff can be made as your business needs change.

Regular review to keep costs down

Over time your business will change and therefore your tariff may need adjusting to match this. We will keep your account under regular review to ensure that you do not start incurring extra charges. Our aim is always to keep your bills down and save you money where possible.

We will also advise you of changes in the mobile market, particularly with regards to new technology which could help your business. Currently tablet computers are very much the sought after devices as businesses recognise their unique advantages over both phones and laptops. These can be factored in as part of any business mobile review.

The best business mobile phones

Thursday, September 01, 2011

We have compiled a list of the Top 10 business mobile phones based on dispatch figures for August 2011. The list is as follows:

1 Apple iPhone 4
2 Nokia 6303i
3 BlackBerry 8520 Curve
4 BlackBerry 9300 Curve
5 HTC Wildfire S
6 Nokia C2-01
7 Nokia 2323
8 BlackBerry 9780 Bold
9 Nokia C1-01
10 Motorola Gleam

Top 10 business mobile analysis

The Apple iPhone 4 has jumped back up to its number one position last held in June 2011. The price of this handset has come down a little as rumours circulate about the iPhone 5 making it more affordable on a range of business tariffs.

Nokia's 6303i, very much a standard business phone for talk and text, maintains its Top 10 position which it has held throughout 2011. Nokia have done well this month with four entries including two entries for their C series of phones which are proving popular.

BlackBerry phones continue to do well in the list with two curves and one bold. The 8520 is very affordable but is only 2G, whereas the 9300 has 3G for a little extra. The 9780 Bold is a more feature-packed handset but this does come at a price.

HTC do appear regularly in the list but the handsets vary in popularity month by month. In August it's the HTC Wildfire S that makes the Top 10. This affordable SmartPhone runs the Android OS and packs a lot in for a relatively inexpensive handset.

Finally there is the Motorola Gleam. It's the first time in the list for this basic phone. The only thing it seems to have going for it is the clamshell design and big buttons which are favoured amongst users who don't want touchscreen phones which currently dominate the market.

At Best Business Mobile Deals we can supply any UK mobile phone handset for your business. For those looking for multiple phones we can supply a mixture based upon your exact requirements. These will usually be supplied free of charge, subject to your tariff. Contact us for more information and a free review.
